Second Melt is working to make recycling plastic, cans, and paper more attractive to households in low-income urban and rural areas, schools, and institutions.
We aim to lead in providing flexible, smart, and convenient recycling and waste management services by using the latest technologies to help make Ghana greener and safer through accessible and inclusive community plastic waste recycling in Ghana
We help local communities start recycling programs, set up transport to collect waste, and manage pickup requests
We recover, collect and recycle different types of plastic waste into new products that can replace virgin plastics. for local and international Businesses
Second Melt uses rewards to boost plastic recovery by paying informal waste pickers a set price per kilo for plastics they bring to our centres—turning waste into income.

Our HDPE materials come from a social plastic project where waste pickers are paid fairly to safely collect HDPE from landfills and ocean-bound sources. The plastic is hand-sorted and crushed into clean, dry flakes using locally made machines

Our HDPE AND PP materials are well sorted by hand, crashed with locally built industrial machines into cold dried flakes.
